Music October 2015 - child and teacher
 Hello
I am the new Music specialist.  I was been born and raised in Calgary and  I am a registered piano teacher with ARMTA.  I have been running my own piano studio for the last 38 years.  My background is working with special needs and I’ve taught both children and adults.
I am also a busy mother of two fantastic children named Sarah and David.  My daughter is currently enrolled in an art program and my son is in a lot of physical sports.  Family is very important to me and I am excited to say that my mother and father are still living in Calgary.
I have a very diverse background and it has been said that I am a recreational person that uses my music with memory care.  I also am a firm believer that seniors need children and children need seniors, hence why I volunteer my studio class to perform for various homes.  In order to have more interaction with children, I’ve also created a sky program.  I am a lover of animals with a leonberger as my furry companion.  I enjoy the out doors so much that I spend my free time hiking, camping, fishing and exploring the gem stones of Alberta’s small towns.  As a former school bus driver I thoroughly enjoyed spending time among children with special needs.
I hope to gain more experience throughout the campus year and I look forward to teaching my passion to all the wonderful students here at MCHA.
